Alamogordo NM

Alamogordo NM is where I reside. Stuck here by the mercy of the Air Force. It is a very small town that is run down and has a high poverty rate. The Air Force base runs most of the jobs and supports the town a lot. There are mountains and vast desert that surround the town and create a beautiful sunset and cloud cover that pour into the city. The town suffers from inadequate growth, run down empty businesses, and houses. There are many hiking trails but you must travel at least an hour to go somewhere nice or get some variety. I hoped to capture the beauty and trash that seem to be scatter throughout the town. The scenes sometime feel like a ghost town and you can’t help to feel some type of abandonment when experiencing what Alamogordo has to offer.
